Salary $125K per annum

Primary Purpose of Job:
The Community Mental Health Team Manager (CMHTM) will play a pivotal role in overseeing and leading all operations and clinical activities at their designated community mental health site.
This role demands advanced leadership skills to ensure the site meets its operational and clinical requirements. The CMHTM will supervise various teams and programs, including the Community Mental Health 0-25 program, Community Mental Health 26 Program, Mental Health and Police Response (MHAPR) where applicable, and other Specialist Programs and Administration staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Supervision: Effectively manage and lead the team at the community mental health site, fostering collaboration and cohesiveness among staff members.
- Clinical Oversight: Ensure the clinical duties and support for consumers and carers are carried out efficiently, including urgent routine and acute clinical assessments, safety planning, clinical reviews, discharge planning, and the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based holistic treatment.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with Clinical Leads for the 0-25 and 26 programs, as well as Specialist and Regional Programs Managers to support a multidisciplinary approach to care.
- Team Meetings: Lead daily site-specific team meetings to facilitate staff collaboration and enhance operational efficiency.
- Budget and Performance Management: Monitor and manage budgets, targets, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in alignment with the goals of the Community Mental Health Service.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Operate within a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive framework to ensure the highest level of care for consumers.
Qualifications:
- A relevant degree in mental health or a related field.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within the mental health sector.
- Strong knowledge of clinical best practices and evidence-based treatments.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Familiarity with budget management and performance monitoring.
- Commitment to trauma-informed and culturally sensitive care.
- Demonstrated working knowledge and understanding of the Victorian Mental Health Act
2014, the National Standards for Mental Health Services 2010, National Standards for the
Mental Health Workforce 2013 and NSQHS standards. * Current AHPRA or relevant professional registration (Australian)
