It is an exciting time to join our GV Health team! Stage 1 of GV Health’s $229 million transformation of our Graham Street site is almost complete and we are now hiring to take the department to its next phase!
New Emergency Department – due for completion mid-2022 includes the following exciting changes:
- 36 bed ED – increasing from 18
- Three state-of-the-art resuscitation bays
- A Behavioural Assessment room, mental health consult spaces, forensic room
- Two negative pressure isolation cubicles
- Nine additional acute care cubicles
- A dedicated Fast Track area with seven cubicles and a consultation room
- A dedicated paediatric area with three cubicles and a consultation room
- A nine bed Short Stay Unit, including one isolation room
- A CT scan room, ultrasound room and two new X-Ray rooms

About the role
As our department grows, we want you to grow with us!
We are currently seeking dedicated and experienced Registered Nurses to join our great Emergency Department team, where you’ll be responsible for providing and coordinating all aspects of quality patient care.
We are particularly looking for Nurses with qualifications in Critical Care or Emergency Nursing and previous experience in Emergency Nursing, especially in Triage and Resuscitation.
There are a range of permanent full time and part time roles available to meet your work and lifestyle preferences.
We are looking for
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse OR eligibility to obtain AHPRA Registration
- A minimum of 1-year postgraduate experience, preferably in an Emergency or Urgent Care environment
- Competence to work in Triage and/or Resuscitation is highly desirable
- The ability to work under pressure
