About us:
We are a major player in the meat processing industry. A wholly owned Australian company with global reach, its main production facility is based in Warrnambool, Victoria.
We now have a position for a qualified Refrigeration Technician to maintain our 24 hour processing plant. Industrial refrigeration experience is essential to be successful in this position. Experience with Ammonia and an electrical qualification would be an advantage.
About the role:
As a hands-on role this position will be required to directly oversee day to day preventative maintenance, maintenance request tasks and breakdowns such as:
- Daily plant freezer and cool room temperature checks
- Maintenance request breakdowns, diagnosis and repairs
- Preventative maintenance on plant and equipment
- Services on local dairy farms and associated refrigeration equipment
- Working with various departments and areas onsite
- Quick response to breakdowns with the ability to prioritise tasks
- Be part of a rotating on call roster and prepared to work overtime
About you:
- You must be a qualified Refrigeration Technician and hold relevant licences (ARCtick licence, restricted licences)
- Experience in refrigeration systems freon as well as secondary coolants
- Good computer skills with experience using SCADA advantageous
- Must have the right to work in Australia (38 hours/week)
- You must pass a drug & alcohol test and be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical if required
- You have already had a Q Fever vaccination or are willing to participate in the vaccination process
