Regional Early Education and Development Inc. (REED) is a not-for-profit organisation established to govern and manage a multi-site Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) service located throughout the Wheatbelt region. The organisation’s overarching goal is to contribute to the development and wellbeing of children, families, communities and the Wheatbelt Region by delivering high quality, sustainable ECEC services.
REED is committed to the National Quality Framework, and continuously identifies the areas of improvement, and works in collaboration with all participants to achieve quality learning outcomes for all children accessing the service
THE POSITION
We are currently seeking Diploma Qualified Educators for the following locations.
REED-Narembeen (part time)
REED-Dalwallinu (fulltime) – Relocation Package Available
REED-Merredin (part time)
REED-Corrigin (fulltime)
REED-Quairading (part time)
REED-Brookton (fulltime)
REED-Northampton (fulltime) – Relocation Package Available
REMUNERATION
The positions are full time. Remuneration for the position is between level 4.1 to 4.3 as per the Children Services Award pluis $1 an hour above award, dependent on experience and all conditions are in-line with the Children Services Award 2010.
Interim attraction and retention packages including relocation allowances and sign on bonus available dependent on location up to $9,900.00. Packages to be discussed during interview.
Visa sponsorship may be available to the appropriate applicant.
POSITION /RESPONSIBILITIES
Childcare Worker ANZSCO 421111
- Adhere to REED’s Values, Code of Conduct, Child Protection Policy and other organisational policies.
- Maintain a high standard of work practices that promote a culture upholding responsible and ethical behaviour, confidentiality, integrity and accountability.
- Assisting in the preparation of materials and equipment for children’s education and recreational activities using a variety of materials and equipment to facilitate students’ development
- Observe students behaviour to evaluate and Manage children’s behaviour and guiding children’s social development
- Programming and lesson planning including preparing and conducting activities for children
- Entertaining children by reading and playing games to ensure continued language development
- Monitoring and assisting with children’s outdoor play activities
- Ensuring children are following their daily routine in cooperation with the children’s parents
- Ensuring the supervision children’s hygiene activities and enforcing the importance of hand washing
- Ensuring all activities aid to develop cooperative social skills, confidence, understanding and motor skills
- Ensure observations for disabilities ill health or emotional disturbance are continuous so students progress intellectually
- Ensure nutritional welfare and safety needs of children are monitored daily
- Liaise with parents on children’s progress
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALITIES, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
- Diploma in Children’s Services or willingness to obtain.
- Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management Certificates.
- Current Working With Children’s Check
- Current Police Clearance
DESIRABLE
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Cultural awareness
