Job Overview

Join this leading capital equipment specialist based in Darwin and your career will soar! They seek a Project Estimator for capital equipment sales into the hospitality industry. Your experience will ideally include commercial HVAC and client contact experience but any experience of sales and materials estimating into this industry sector will be viewed favorably.

ROLE-SPECIFIC TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Customers

• Capital equipment sales project estimator for the hospitality industry
• Develop and manage up-to-date customer information
• Give new customers who want to open an account a Company Account Application.
• Target market consists of the hospitality business, construction companies, mining companies, designers and architects, the Northern Territory Government, councils, defense, and defense contractors.
• Ask for Google reviews and feedback from happy customers.

Projects

• Control and supervise all parts of the project at each level, including tendering, substitute quoting, receiving POs, manufacturing, delivery, installation, subcontractor management, quality assurance, manuals, reporting, reviews, and cost analysis.
• Carry out take-offs and estimates for company projects
• Determine when adjustments are required, price them, and request approval.
• Assist with project progress claims and give weekly project reports.
• Ensure that all accepted projects are set up in accordance with the Company Approved Projects protocol’ and that all blueprints, revised quotations, and other associated documentation are properly preserved electronically.
• Ensure that all administrative personnel are prepared and understand the project’s contracts and RFIs.
• Manage and supervise subcontractor performance, ensuring that work meets or exceeds Company standards.

Quotations

• Follow the Company Sales Procedure’ for creating all quotations.
• Ensure the accuracy of all cost calculations presented.
• As needed, provide consumers with formal quotations.
• Submit tender applications as needed
• Implement the Company Quotation Follow-Up Procedure’ for all individually generated quotations.
• Ensure that all information obtained during the quoting process, such as freight quotes, supplier quotations, and supplier discounts, is saved and captured on the Quote.
• Make certain that all pertinent information about accepted quotes is pasted on the Sale Coordinator.

Sales

• Meet or exceed sales targets with the appropriate gross profit.
• Create strategies and monitor tender websites in order to win projects through tenders.
• Respond to all queries or refer them to the relevant team member.
• Provide items and advice to customers
• Assist with stock control and picking for customer orders as needed.
• Handle all sales through Unleashed, Prospect, and Neto.

Prospect / Unleashed

• Maintain and enter correct customer information
• Enter and manage quotations and verify that the correct template layout is selected before sending to the customer.
• Use CRM to manage customer connections and communication.
• In CRM, create and manage tasks.

Ad Hoc Tasks

• Carry out any tasks assigned to you by the Company Manager or corporate Director that are within your capacity and knowledge.

Reporting

• Ensure that weekly Company Project progress reports are completed.

Our client is an approved TSS/482 Visa Sponsor (Australian work visa), and thus, sponsorship may be offered to well-qualified candidates requiring it. However, local and onshore candidates, including those on working holiday visa, who are immediately available will still be given priority.
