Job description: Our client is a leading manufacturer in the steel industry is currently seeking a motivated and skilled Production Engineer to join our dynamic team. Position Overview:

Ensuring efficient and effective manufacturing operations of our factory. Overseeing the production process, optimizing production techniques, and ensuring the quality and timely delivery of our products. Collaborating with other teams to drive continuous improvement and resolve production-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning and Control:

· Develop production schedules and ensure adherence to deadlines.

· Coordinate with the production team to allocate resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, for efficient production flow.

· Monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement strategies to optimize productivity and reduce downtime.

2. Process Optimization:

· Conduct process analysis to identify areas for improvement, cost reduction, and quality enhancement.

· Design and implement process modifications or new manufacturing techniques to streamline operations, increase output, and minimize waste.

· Collaborate with R&D and design teams to ensure manufacturability of new products and evaluate production feasibility.

3. Quality Assurance:

· Develop and enforce quality control standards and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and customer specifications.

· Conduct regular inspections, audits, and tests to monitor product quality at various stages of production.

· Investigate and resolve any production-related quality issues or non-conformities, implementing corrective and preventive actions as necessary.

4. Continuous Improvement:

· Drive lean manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall productivity.

· Analyze production data, such as cycle time, scrap rates, and downtime, to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective measures.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, share knowledge, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

5. Team Collaboration:

· Collaborate with production supervisors, technicians, and operators to ensure smooth coordination and effective communication across the production floor.

· Provide technical guidance and support to resolve complex production issues and address operator concerns.

· Train and mentor production staff on manufacturing processes, safety protocols, and quality standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or arelated field.

· Proven experience in production engineering.

· Knowledge of metal fabrication processes.

· Familiarity with manufacturing equipment.

· Proficiency in process optimization techniques, lean manufacturing principles,and quality control methodologies.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

· Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting.

· Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and productionmanagement systems is desirable.
