The Postdoctoral Research Associate will have knowledge and skills that complement and extend our current research capabilities in Architecture. They will be open to contributing to collaborative research Projects across the School and university, or with external partners, while pursuing a suitably scaled Project of their own.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • advance a research program related to your expertise
  • develop work for publication with highly regarded journals and publishers
  • build research funding and capacity in collaboration with colleagues within the School
  • actively engage with events to promote collaboration and the research culture of the School

About you

  • a PhD in Architecture or a cognate field (awarded prior to commencement of the position)
  • strong evidence of research capacity commensurate with opportunity, as demonstrated by a record of publications and participation in research events
  • high level research skills and capacity to independently develop research projects from conception to grant application stage
  • ability to teach in architectural studio or lecture contexts
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
