Part Time/Full Time Chef/Cook – Sponsorship is available for the right applicant

Since opening in the centre of Ballarat’s hospitality district 19 years ago, we’ve taken our passion for great service and quality food to build Oscars into a busy, vibrant hotel.

Our family run hotel is excited to expand our team. We are currently have 2 vacancies for a Full Time or Part Times cook/chef role. Full Time Position on a rotating roster and our Part Time position we can work with you on family/study commitments.

Our ideal chef can:

  • Work well in a team environment
  • Excel when under pressure
  • Demonstrate good time management skills
  • Multitask through busy service times
  • Create or share input on new dishes to feature on our weekly specials

The successful candidate will have:

  • Cert IV in commercial cookery
  • Wok, grill and pan experience essential
  • Have a passion towards food and local produce
  • Have a minimum 2 years’ experience in a qualified chef role
  • Good knowledge of HACCP
  • Solid background in one of the following: bistro, restaurants or functions
