Job description: Dobbie is first and foremost a jobbing foundry, with specialist expertise, manufacturing high-quality, precision engineered castings in both ferrous and non-ferrous castings. Established for over 80 years, we manufacture Waterworks Fittings, Valves, Fire Protection Equipment and Castings for local and interstate industries.

We utilise chemically bonded hard sand mouldings to produce our castings. Molding in sand is a quick and efficient production method. The specialised sand is also resistant to extremely high temperatures making it ideal for pouring molten steels, nickel and other high melting point base media. We utilise electric powered induction furnaces to provide our molten metals.

Currently we are looking for an experienced foundry process moulder to join our team at our NOR foundry.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Display understanding of methoding and follow appropriate work streams.
• Demonstrate skills in ramming, floodcoating, closing, etc.
• Maintain safe and efficient workplace.
• Positively contribute to the production of cost efficient, quality output.
• Demonstrate strong work ethic, reliability and high competence.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Formally qualified or demonstrable relevant experience –

o Jobbing Moulding.

o Core Making

• Strong manual operational skills.
• Aptitude to understand Dobbie IMS System.
• Ability to think laterally and problem solve.

Demonstrable experience in

• Foundry environment (ideally 2 years or more)
• Use of jib cranes/forklift trucks
• Team Player
• Punctual & reliable with a strong work ethic
