One of our venues… Lucky Chan’s Laundry + Noodlebar, is looking for another chef to join our family.
Lucky Chans (Northbridge) is a popular multi-level venue and with a soon-to-be-launched VIP extension and a busy rotating thematic rooftop bar.
We are seeking a chef with wok experience and a desire to learn to ropes and become a future sous chef.
With food menus focussing on the seasons, expect to work with the freshest produce, local suppliers and a creative and passionate team.
The position offers great hours in a fun and exciting environment with a full-time salary based on experience.

The remuneration salary is a start and dependent on experience and relevant skills.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Head Chef, the main duties of this hands-on role include, but are not limited to the following:
Assist with menu planning, organisation and cooking of food in dining and catering establishments.
Manage quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
Discuss food preparation issues with Managers, Dieticians and kitchen and waiting staff.
Demonstrate techniques and advising on cooking procedures.
Enforce hygiene regulations.
Store food in temperature-controlled facilities.
Prepare food to meet dietary requirements.
Maintain high hygiene standards and cleanliness of all work areas.
Maintain a high level of product knowledge and awareness of Perth’s food scene.
Deliver excellent food delivery and service.
Enforce OHS Workplace practices and Food Safety Standards at all times.
Support the Head Chef and ensure smooth operations in their absence.
Assist with rostering and ordering when necessary.
Skills and Experience:
We are looking for someone with a minimum of 2-years’ experience in a similar environment/role.
Significant experience in producing high end, quality food.
A history of, and genuine interest in, training new staff and mentoring more junior level Chefs and Apprentices.
Great communication, interpersonal and organisational skills and be passionate about food, cooking as hospitality.
References from previous employers will be required to prove experience etc.

To be considered you must have / be willing to obtain:
AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2) including at least 2 years on-the-job training.
National Police Clearance (Within 6 months)
Active Valid Visa acknowledged by the Australian Government
Can successfully pass Full Comprehensive Pre- Employment Medical + Drug & Alcohol Screen
