About the job:
Sodexo are currently seeking experienced an Full Time Qualified Chef who wants the opportunity to showcase their passion for cooking in the meals they prepare for our clients and fellow staff members.
Our Chef’s along with the extended service team are the ‘backbone’ of our remote sites. They contribute extensively to the effective day to day operations and provide a service for customers ensuring that each experience is as close to a home away from home feeling.
Your role will include but is not limited to hands-on service for bulk and or buffet style cooking for breakfast, Dinner, pastries, crib and on occasions organising functions. A solid knowledge and understanding of HACCP procedures and safe work practices is imperative. Cleanliness and professional presentation is extremely vital at all times.
About You:
To be successful in this role you will be certified (Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or Equivalent) and ideally experienced within a mining or remote environment. You have bags of stamina and are fit and healthy, bulk cooking experience is a huge advantage however exceptional customer service is key. Your ability to work effectively in teams and have a keen eye for detail is essential. This position requires you to work a 2:1 roster, local hire preferred or Brisbane based BIBO or DIDO.Australian Citizenship or Full Australian working rights OR relevant bulk cooking experienced applicants seeking potential Visa sponsorship
