The Venue
Highly regarded pub, set in a stunning regional town 20 mins from Bathurst. Focusing on local produce and warm comfortable service. Big focus on seasonality and true paddock to plate ethos. One of Australia’s most highly regarded chefs is the face of this venue.
This is an iconic destination venue where people come to wind down, explore and experience a relaxing quiet country town.
Busy weekend trade with the locals but also a great place for travellers to stop in and have a meal and get out of the hustle and bustle of the busy city.
The Kitchen
Well set up and functional, the small but busy kitchen has everything you need! Strong Head Chef running the venue and a great team to work alongside with.
This bistro is open 5 days only. The venue will run seasonal menus that change regularly depending on what’s in season and showcasing local produce. Running regular specials for the locals to keep things interesting and new for them.
The Role
If you’re a passionate and experienced chef, this is the kind of venue that will invest in you and give you the ability to express your personality on the plate!
What you will need:
- Strong food knowledge and a genuine passion for the industry
- Great cooking skills and overall technical expertise
- Have worked at CDP or Jnr Sous chef level in a busy environment
- A proven ability to rally a team around you, with clear communication skills and a contemporary management style
- Be cool and calm in a busy close knit kitchen environment
- Someone who has a drive for excellence and wants to push the boundaries with cooking with great produce
The salary is up to $68k + Super with a 4 OR 5 day working roster available.
