Job description: We are seeking for Boilermakers in Qld and WA mining sites. The Client:

Job Summary:
To provide an effective and efficient outcome for fabrication and welding repairs and maintenance of equipment and machinery.
Boilermaker is responsible for the fabrication, assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair of various metal structures and equipment used in mining operations. This role involves working with various types of metals and alloys and requires a deep understanding of welding and metalworking techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabrication: Fabricate and assemble metal structures, including conveyors, chutes, and other mining equipment, based on engineering drawings and specifications.
- Welding: Perform various welding techniques, such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding, to join metals together, ensuring strong and durable connections.
- Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on mining equipment and structures to identify and repair issues like cracks, corrosion, or structural damage.
- Repairs: Carry out repairs and replacements on damaged or worn-out parts of mining equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
- Installation: Install and set up new equipment and structures at mining sites, ensuring they meet safety and engineering standards.
- Cutting and Shaping: Use tools like grinders, saws, and cutting torches to cut and shape metal components accurately.
- Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety procedures when working with heavy machinery and equipment.
- Tools and Equipment: Maintain and care for tools and equipment used in metal fabrication and welding.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years’ experience working in the mining and heavy earthmoving industry
- Completion of a formal Boilermaker apprenticeship program or equivalent work experience.
- Certification in welding and metalworking is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of metallurgy, blueprint reading, and engineering drawings.
- Proficiency in welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
- Familiarity with various welding and metalworking tools and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving and mechanical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
- Good physical fitness and stamina, as the job may require lifting heavy materials and working in challenging conditions.

Essential:
- Relevant Trade qualifications – Certificate III
- C Drivers License
- Coal Board Medical
- Standard 11 SOA
