Clyde & Co’s Sydney office is currently recruiting an Associate level lawyer, with between 2-4 years’ experience to join our Tier One, Health & Safety practice.

About the Team
Our practice is described as “one of the strongest workplace health and safety teams in Australia [with] strength in the construction, infrastructure, energy, transport and logistics sectors. Adept at handling litigation, prosecutions and investigations, the practice is regularly called upon to handle complex and high-profile mandates involving injuries, fatalities and major incidents in the workplace. The team is expanding their capability within Australia providing not only local, but regional and global support to their clients. The practice is supportive and varied with front and back end capability. You will find yourself working with high profile clients across a range of different industries including defence, mining, oil and gas, aviation, transport, construction and telecommunication/broadcasting”.

About You
We are seeking an Associate with between 2-4 years’ experience, with particular expertise in health and safety.
You will be able to demonstrate strong performance throughout your career to date, and commitment to further developing your career with us.
This role will be based in Sydney, however we are open to interstate lawyers wanting to move, and to New Zealand qualified lawyers. We may also look at visa sponsorship for the right candidate.
Key Requirements
- Experience working in a health and safety team, within a large law firm, international law firm, boutique firm or an in-house position
- A strong academic background
- Genuine interest and ability to grow as a health and safety lawyer
- A strong team approach and someone who works well in high energy team
- A willingness to build an understanding of clients and develop effective working relationships.
