We are currently seeking a highly motivated and compassionate healthcare assistant to be a part of the healthcare team in one of the biggest residential aged care facilities across Australia. As a healthcare assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing support and care to elderly residents. Responsibilities:

• Assist healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality patient care.
• Provide personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Assist with mobility and transfer of patients as required.
• Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Support patients with medication administration under the supervision of healthcare professionals.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and safe healthcare environment.
• Respond to patient inquiries and provide general assistance and emotional support.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the well-being of patients.
• Maintain accurate health care documentation as required.
• Encourage all residents to participate in scheduled social activities.
• Build relationships with residents and their families.
• Adhere to workplace health and safety guidelines and policies.

Skills and Experience

• Minimum of a Cert III in an Aged Care or relevant qualification
• Previous aged care experience highly regarded
• The ability to work as part of a tight knit team and take direction as required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexible availability for a variety of shifts throughout the week
